Frequently Asked Questions

You Asked, We Answered

What are "Seamless Gutters", and what makes them different?

Seamless gutters differ from those purchased from Home Depot or Lowes in that they are custom made on site to the exact length needed for your home as continuous straight sections, whether that be 8 feet long or 80.  The ones purchased from the home improvement stores are limited to 10 foot sections and must be pieced together for greater lengths.  Every seam is a potential point of failure for the system, particularly when installed by those without gutter installation experience.

How much can I expect to pay for new gutters?

The cost of a new gutter system can vary widely.  Just stating the square footage or overall dimensions of your home is usually not enough information to properly quote a price for new gutters.  The footage of material installed is the biggest factor, however, the height of the eaves, complexity of the roofline, size of gutter (5 or 6 inch), and current cost of materials all play a role in determining installation cost.

What about Gutter Guards?  Do I need them for my home?

Gutter Guards are designed to keep debris out of your gutters, to ensure the water can flow freely into the gutter and out the downspout.  There are different design options, and several factors to consider when choosing, to include:  type/size/number of trees in the vicinity of your home; design of roof; visual preference; and budget of project.  In some cases, Gutter Guard is not needed at all.
